My Everyday Summer Makeup Routine

With the summer practically in full swing now, I mean how lush has the weather been recently? I've been changing up my makeup routine and the products I'm using in order to get a more summery glow. I thought I'd share with you the products I've been using as I'm currently obsessed with them all, and as it's just been my birthday I have quite a few new products to talk about.

Face
First up, I start by priming my face, as I find that in the summer months my makeup tends to slip off of my face more easily. The primer I've been obsessed with recently is the Urban Decay Optical Illusion Complexion Primer, it makes my skin super smooth and helps my foundation glide onto my skin. Next up for foundation I've been using the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup Foundation. This foundation provides a demi-matte finish, which is perfect for the summer as it's not too heavy but still has amazing coverage. For concealer I'm using the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. I cannot tell you all enough how amazing this concealer is, the coverage is insane and the product itself sits nicely on the skin without going cakey after a few hours.

Moving onto bronzer, for my birthday I received the Urban Decay Sin Afterglow Palette, and I am in love! For my bronzer I use the top right shade in Paranoid and then for my highlight I have been using the bottom right shade in Sin. Both of these are amazingly pigmented and the bronzer blends out super easily.

Eyes
For my eyes, I haven't really been wearing any eyeshadow recently because I just haven't been feeling the love with it. All I do is apply the No.7 Exceptional Definition Mascara and the Rimmel Wake Me Up Mascara. Both of these products together provide really nice natural looking lashes.

Lips
Finally for my lips, I've been obsessed with the Too Faced La Crème Lip Cream in Nude Beach. The shade itself is super neutral and perfect for a summers day, I also find the lipstick itself to be super moisturising which is always a positive.

Top 3 Nude Lips

I did a post very similar to this back in July, and you all seemed to really enjoy it. So today I thought I'd update you all on what nude lips I'm loving right now! Nude lips for me are classic, they go with almost any makeup look and really give you a sophisticated edge. These 3 lip products have found themselves used in my makeup routine on more than one occasion, so I thought they'd be perfect to talk about in this post!

MAC Matte Lipstick in Velvet Teddy // £16.50
First up is an absolute classic, Velvet Teddy. I can't stress enough how much ya'll need to try this if you haven't already, because it is absolutely gorgeous and the perfect nude shade! Velvet Teddy is also matte which makes the lipstick last so much longer and the pigmentation is crazy good! Overall, if you take one thing from this post defintley make sure that you add Velvet Teddy to your makeup wishlist!

Maybelline X Gigi Hadid Matte Lipstick in Erin // £8.99
Shock horror, this is actually the first lip product that I've ever tried from Maybelline and I can tell you now, I will 100% be buying from them more in the future! When I first heard about Gigi's collaboration, East Coast Glam, with Maybelline on Twitter, I was beyond excited. Then I saw the packaging and fell in love even more! I mean how gorgeous is it though, with the holographic font and nude packaging (this is seriously what dreams are made of!) Aside from all that though, the shade Erin is absolutely gorgeous, it's a dark almost berry nude and the pigmentation is crazy. It's also super creamy which is good for a matte formula as it means I can wear it without it drying out my lips!

Charlotte Tilbury Mini Matte Lipstick in Secret Salma // £24.00
My final favourite for this post is from Charlotte Tilbury (my fave!) and is the most gorgeous lipstick! Secret Salma is described as a rosy plum, and on the lips looks absolutely gorgeous! This is actually the mini version from the Hot Lips set that launched at Christmas, but you can get your hands on the full sized version (defintley on my list) for £24! This lipstick is absolutely gorgeous and defitnley the most worn out of all three, and I mean how can you not love a mini lipstick? It's just so cute!

So those are my current top 3 nude lips, I hope you all enjoyed this post and defintley check out these lippies, because they definitely will not disappoint!

That's So Olivia

Hello, and welcome to my brand new refurbished blog! I say refurbished, all I've done is have a name change and sort out my header :). During my break from December until the middle of January, I had a lot of time to think about my blog and the direction I am wanting to go in. Back in October I wrote a post about the future of my blog, and writing that post really made me think about Prettily Painted and what it's future was. I've also been changing who I am as a person, as I'm growing up, things that interested me before, don't really do it for me anymore. One big change that I'm going through right now is with my own personal style, fashion is a big thing for me and something that I'm super passionate about, so you'll defintley see changes in my future posts!

So I came to the conclusion of doing something pretty big, I've said my goodbyes to Prettily Painted and brought in my blog's new name. I read a tweet the other day that really summed up these changes for me, it was about how every blogger has massive blog change somewhere down the road and that it's completely normal and fine to redo your blog as a whole. And so that's how That's So Olivia was born. For those of you wondering, Olivia is actually my middle name but I absolutely love it and wanted to use it for my blog and so that's exactly what happened!

That's So Olivia is going to have a completely different feel to Prettily Painted, I'm going to branch out into more personal, and different posts to what I used to do. But there'll still be a few things that'll stay the same as I'm still passionate about beauty and interiors, but fashion is really where it's at for me, so fashion and style will be at the centre of my blog.

I hope that you'll all stick with me and enjoy my new blog. I wanted to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for all the love, support and opportunities you gave me through Prettily Painted and I can't wait to see what the future holds. I love you all so much and thank you for being part of this journey with me! Xx

My 2018 Goals

Hello, I'm back after quite a long break which I can't apologise enough for! It's been a stressful few months with my mocks but now that they're out of the way (for now) I'm going to try and keep on top of the blogging game, although I'm not promising anything. Today, I thought I'd share with you some of my 2018 goals (how is it 2018 can I ask?) and hopefully most of these I'll be able to complete!

2018 is going to be a big year for me, I'm doing my GCSE's, turning 16, leaving High School, having my Prom and starting College! As much as I am nervous, I can't wait for a fresh start and concentrate on the subjects I'm passionate about. So anyways, here's a look into some of my goals for the year!

Pass my GCSE's
Eat more healthily and drink more water
Work hard both in and out of school
Have an amazing Prom
Have the BEST summer
Concentrate more on my blog, once school finishes
Push myself out of my comfort zone
Experiment more with my personal style

So those are a few of my 2018 goals, hopefully I can complete them and look back at the end of 2018 and be happy with how my year went!

The Edit: Christmas Beauty

It's finally time for me to do this season's The Edit, I'm not going to lie, the Christmas Beauty post is the one I've been waiting to write since I started this series! Today I'm going to talk you through some of the beauty products that I'll be using throughout the best season of the year!

Benefit's Girl Meets Pearl // £25.50
First up is a product that I haven't really used, but I really should because it's absolutely gorgeous! This is the perfect highlight for the festive season as it's a super pretty pink shade. Girl Meets Pearl is a cream product, so looks so pretty on the cheeks and I'm just so excited to start wearing it!

NARS Albatross Highlight // £24.00
It's been a while since I've featured this absolutely gorgeous highlight from NARS, and yes it might seem weird that I have featured two highlights in this post, but I just couldn't help myself! Albatross is a powder highlight so looks really pretty in the inner corner of the eye or on the brow bone. I do occasionally apply it to my cheekbones, but that's mostly where Girl Meets Pearl goes!

Tanya Burr Eye Shimmer in Champagne Sparkle // (Unavailable)
Next up are eyeshadows / shimmers, the festive season is always the perfect time to bring out the glitter and sparkle. Champagne Sparkle is absolutely gorgeous and looks so pretty on the eyes, unfortunately this was part of the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Advent Calendar, so is no longer available.

Barry M Dazzle Dust in 44 // £4.59
If you've been reading my blog for a while, then you will know that I'm obsessed with the Barry M Dazzle Dust in 105. So I thought it only right to bring out this gorgeous shade now that the party season is here. This shade is the perfect gold and looks gorgeous on the inner eyes.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Matte Lip in Christmas Stocking // (Unavailable)
What would a post all about Christmas makeup be without including a red lip? The TB Cosmetics Matte Lip in Christmas Stocking is perfect for this time of the year. First of all it's the perfect christmassy red and secondly it lasts ALL DAY! Which is going to be perfect for Christmas day!

So that's this seasons Edit, I hope you've all enjoyed this series that I've started and I cant wait to carry it on throughout 2018. I also hope you've enjoyed this post!

Red Lip Faves

I don't know about you but when I think of Christmas, one of the first things that comes to mind for me are red lips. They always seem to be a popular lip choice around this time of the year. Today I thought that I would share with you my top 3 red lips for the upcoming season!

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Lipgloss in Berry Pavlova //
First up is Berry Pavlova from TB Cosmetics, I'm a huge lover of the brand so it was only right that I included this in this post. Unfortunately this product is now unavailable to buy as it was part of the 2016 Advent Calendar. Berry Pavlova is a super pretty red with berry undertones, both the formula and pigmentation are amazing and it lasts a pretty substantial amount of time on my lips!

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Matte Lip in Christmas Stocking //
Again another product from the 2016 Advent Calendar is the TB Cosmetics Matte Lip in Christmas Stocking. I can't even begin to tell you how gorgeous this shade is! The formula is also matte which makes it perfect for those windy days, as your hair wont get stuck to your lips! This is defintley one of my go to reds and it's such a shame that it isn't a part of the permanent collection!

*Seventeen Stay Pout Lipstick in Date Night // £4.99
Last but not least is Date Night from Seventeen, I was ever so kindly sent this by Seventeen and I must admit it's one of my faves at this time of the year! The pigmentation of this product is amazing, literally the lightest swatch goes a long way! It's also a super creamy formula and doesn't dry out my lips at all!

*all opinions stated are my own

A 70's Inspired Fashion Look

I don't know about you, but I think that the 70's had such good fashion! From the flared pants to the skirts and then the super cute sunglasses! Today I thought I would you share with you an outfit that I've put together and that I feel as though does give off a 70's vibe!

The first piece from this outfit is a simple plain white top from Zara. (£5.99) This is the perfect basic and is super comfy, plus it goes perfect with the outfit! Next up is the main focus of the outfit, these gorgeous black flared pants from Topshop (£20). I picked these up a while ago, so I'm not sure if they are still available but if they are, you should defintley get them! As for shoes, I wore these open toe heeled boots from Wallis (I got these for my birthday, so I'm not sure on the price) These go perfectly with the pants and for me, really give off that 70's vibe! As for a jacket, I went for my Topshop leather jacket (£60) I feel as though this goes perfectly with the outfit and brings in the whole Grease vibes! (And yes I know that Grease was set in the 50's, but hey why not mix and match with the eras!)  Finally, to accessorise I wore this thick black velvet choker from Primark (£1.50) , as I feel it finishes off the look perfectly!
