Zara Clothing Haul

Oh what a surprise, another clothing haul!! It's no secret that I spend too much money on clothes, so much so that I've actually put myself on a spending ban for the next two months!! Last week my mum and I popped into Zara just to have a look at their Spring/ Summer collection, Zara isn't usually a shop I go in often simply because of how expensive it can be but I found so many good bargains!!

Today I thought I would share with you all the items I bought because of how inexpensive they were, plus I think their all super cute!!

Disclaimer: I'm not trying to brag at all, my mum kindly bought me one item from this haul but the rest I bought with my own money

Cropped Ripped Jeans // £25.99
The first thing that I got from Zara, my mum kindly bought me and it was this pair of ripped jeans. I've been wanting ripped jeans for a super long time now but the ones I usually try on from Topshop are always too big and the rips don't sit on my actual knees. I was so excited when my mum found these and when I tried them on they fitted perfectly and their also stretchy as well so their super comfy!! Plus their £10 cheaper than Topshop jeans so I'll defintley be buying jeans from Zara from now on!!

Vintage Graphic T-shirt // £5.99
Next up I bought myself this super cute graphic tee, I may be a lil' late to the bandwagon on this trend but recently I've been obsessed with graphic tees. When my mum spotted this one in Zara I fell in love with it and paired with jeans, it looks super cute!!

Plain White Tank Top// £5.99
the next thing I bought was this plain white top, in my opinion this isn't really a tank top although it is the name of it on the website. I'm always in need of plain white tops and for £5.99 you cant go wrong! They also had a plain black one and then striped ones as well so I'll definitely be picking some more up after my spending ban!!

Ribbed Crop Top // £5.99
Finally the last item I picked up was this gorgeous crop top, again I spotted this on the hanger and instantly fell in love. I don't have anything like this in my wardrobe and I think it's a little different to the usual plain crop top. I especially love the collar on this top as I think it looks super cute and I cant wait to start wearing it!!

So that's my Zara haul, I hope you all enjoyed and I've linked all the items for you but as for the jeans I couldn't find the exact pair but I found one very similar!!!

One Skirt, Two Ways

Today I have another fashion post for you, and it's something a little different to my usual OOTDs. Recently I've been seeing a lot of '1 item, two ways' videos and I really wanted to write up one of my own. I'm obsessed with this super pretty pink skirt from Primark (£6) and I was thinking how versatile it is and by adding a few different items and changing out colours you have a whole new outfit but it's still based around the skirt!!

Daytime

For the daytime side of the outfit I obviously wore the Primark skirt and I then also paired it with a plain white top from Primark (£3) and as a jacket I added my denim jacket from New Look (£15), finally I wore my pink and rose gold converse (£59.99). Overall I think this look is super cute and girly and perfect for the springtime. It's also super casual and I'll defintley be wearing this through the warmer months!!

Night Time

Night time
For the night time portion of the outfit, I decided to go for something simple yet pretty. I paired the pink skirt with a black rollneck top from New Look, however I bought this a few years ago so it's now unavailable. Finally to finish off the outfit I added my absolute favourite heeled boots which ae from Topshop (£75) I just think that they finish of the outfit and make it more night time appropriate.

So that's my One Skirt, Two Ways post, I hope you all enjoyed it because I had so much fun shooting and writing it and I'll defintley be doing more in the coming months!!

Spring Cleaning Your Wardrobe

I recently had a massive clear out of my wardrobe and donated a lot of clothes to charity. I'm so happy that I did this because not only have I donated clothes that I don't wear anymore to those who need them and also because I have a lot more room now to buy more clothes!!

Today I thought I'd share with you some tips, that I used in order to help you clean out your wardrobe effectively. In no way shape or form am I an 'expert' on cleaning but I thought I'd share with you some ways that can help you decide whether to keep or donate.

Clear Out Based On The Season
My first tip for you is to decide which pieces of clothing to keep by the season. If, like me, you're cleaning out your wardrobe now I would recommend keeping all of your more spring and summer style pieces, obviously if they don't fit you anymore donate them to a charity or maybe even a younger family member!! However it's better to get rid of the jumpers and clothing pieces that you wont wear much in the warmer seasons and it'll make more room for super cute summer clothes!!

"Will It Still Be In Style This Time Next Year?"
Another tip I have for you is to think to yourself, "will it still be in fashion?" if the answer is no then get rid of it. I know this is such a cliché thing to say but it honestly helps so much!! If youre not going to wear it again after its gone out of 'fashion' there's no point keeping it and having a space taken up in your wardrobe.

When Was The Last Time You Wore The Item?
My final tip for you today is to think about the last time you wore the said piece of clothing that you're undecided on. In all fairness if you haven't worn the item within the last 12 months, chances are you're not going to be wearing it anytime soon. So donate it to charity and make room for that top you've been eyeing up for a while, because hey you have the room!!

Those are all my tips I have to share with you, I hope this helped any of you if you're planning on cleaning out your wardrobe some time soon!!

Bringing Out The Pinks

I'm back today with another outfit post, and I'm super excited for this one as it's a collab with the lovely Beth from www.bepbeee.blogspot.co.uk, so make sure you check out her post and leave a nice comment.

Spring is definitely one of my favourite seasons, because I just love all the colours (aka pastels) and just how fresh everything seems. Today I've put together an outfit for you that I think really does scream Spring!!

Firstly for the outfit, I'm just wearing this simple white top which is from Primark (£2-3). I think having a plain white top in your wardrobe is essential for this time of year as they always come in super handy!! Next up I have these Topshop blue jeggings on which I love as their so comfy and the pop of blue really adds something to the outfit. For my jacket I went with this super pretty dusky pink bomber jacket from New Look (£25) and I feel like this really makes the outfit look 'springified' (is that even a word?) Plus it's quite thin as well so it's perfect for those days when it starts to get a little warmer and you don't want a full winter coat on.

For my bag I went for my small white backpack from River Island (£26) , because as most of you know I'm obsessed with it! Get ready for this little beauty to be making quite a few appearances on the blog soon!! Finally for my shoes I'm wearing my new babies, which are these gorgeous pink and rose gold Timberlands (£120) which I was lucky enough to receive for Christmas. These boots are gorgeous and I cant wait to wear them throughout the Spring. What I also love about these boots though is that their the perfect transition shoe from Winter to Spring (because it's still a lil' cold to be wearing Converse)

So that's my Spring OOTD, I hope you all enjoyed this post and that you gained some inspiration for a Spring outfit of your own. Also don't forget to check out Beth's post as I'm sure it's going to be amazing!!

How I Styled My Ladder Shelving

Wow, this post has been a long time coming and I'm so excited to finally be able to share it with you!! At the end of last year, I finally bought myself the ladder shelving from IKEA and I'm so glad I did!! It was £69 but in my opinion it's so worth it because it looks amazing in my room!!

Today I thought I would share with you how I've styled it as I've watched numerous styling videos before and have really enjoyed them so I thought I'd do one myself!!

Recently I've been adding a lot of of greenery into my room through plants, and as you can see they've sort of taken centre stage on the shelving but I love how they look!! All the plants are from IKEA and I'm so excited to finally have some cacti!! (Sad I know!) I love how they look and they fill in the space perfectly.

If you've been a long time reader of my blog then you'll know that I'm obsessed with rose gold and copper, so of course I had to include a lot of it on the shelving!! Most of these items are from really affordable places, so there will be a list at the bottom of this post to share with you where everything is from.

One of my favourite things on the shelves is my letter mug from Anthropolgie that I'm absolutely obsessed with and I think it makes the perfect decoration!!

So that's how I styled my ladder shelving, I hope you enjoyed this post and i'll defintley be doing more interior styled posts as interiors is one of my passions and I love writing about it!!

What's In My Bag // Spring 2017

I'm back today with my new and updated What's In My Bag!! I love doing these types of posts so as soon as March rolled around I took it upon myself to write up this post for you. I still have the same bag as I did in my What's In My Bag for Spring 2016 but I do have a couple more different bits in!!

In case any of you want a better look at my bag then click the link here to read 2016's post! Also I just realised I haven't told you where the bag is from, River Island! It's from last year though so I'm not entirely sure whether you can still get it but I've linked a very similar one for you here!!

River Island Purse // £18.00
First up I have my purse which is of course an essential in any bag, I got mine from my parents back in 2015 for Christmas and I'm still obsessed with it!! It's such a pretty purse and the pattern on it reminds me of the spring!!

Ted Baker Body Spray // £3.00
Next I have one of my favourite body sprays from Ted Baker, this is in the mini size which makes it perfect for taking out with me as it doesn't take up too much room in my bag and the scent is perfect for the spring as it's nice and fresh!!

Glasses //
I've recently started wearing glasses so I always make sure I have them with me, I would keep them in a case when their in my bag but for the purpose of this post I decided not to include it.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul // £5.99
As for makeup I only really take out my lip product as I found that taking other things like powder became unnecessary  and took up quite a bit of space. I'm obsessed with this shade from NYX as it's perfect for Spring and tends to stay on my lips for quite a long period of time.

Phone //
Of course I always have my phone on me, in case any of you were wondering I have the IPhone 5c in blue and I believe my case is from Amazon. I always have my phone on me whether that be for photo opportunities or to pass the time if I'm bored whilst I'm out throughout the day.

Bobbles //
The final items that I keep in my bag are bobbles, these are an essential for me because if I've left my hair down and it becomes windy I want to put it up so it stops blowing in my face, also their good to keep in your bag as well in case the one your using snaps or you somehow manage to lose it (trust me I've done it before!)

And that's everything I keep in my bag, I hope you all enjoyed finding out what's in my bag and maybe you'll add in a couple more things to your bag now!!

Spring/ Summer Try On Clothing Haul 2017

Last week I went shopping with my mum and picked up quite a few new clothing pieces. With my new blog theme slowly but surely starting up, I thought that today would be the perfect time to share with you my purchases. This haul is also try-on and I had so much fun photographing this post, so I will defintley be doing more of these.

Disclaimer- I'm not trying to brag at all my mum kindly bought most of these items for me and for that I'm incredibly grateful!

 H&M Dungarees // £19.99
The first item of clothing that I bought was this pair of dungarees, I've been wanting a pair of dungarees for such a long time but I could never find some that fitted me properly. I was looking in the kids section of H&M (small girl probz) and these dungarees caught my eye and when I tried them on I immediately fell in love!! They are actually super comfortable and the leg part (is that the right way to describe it?) remind me so much of Mom jeans, and my mum had the idea of putting a jumper on over the top of the dungarees to make them look like normal mom jeans and they look so good!!

Next up I went to Pull & Bear which is now one of my all time favourite shops. One of the items I bought in there was this super cute t-shirt with a tulle heart, I'm not entirely sure whether this would be classed as a 'graphic tee' but it defintley reminded me of one. I mainly got this to go under my dungarees but it also looks super cute tucked into jeans. I'm so happy I picked this up because it's a lil' different to the usual plain t-shirt that I go for.

Pull & Bear Black Culottes // £3.99
The other item that I picked up from Pull & Bear was an absolute bargain! Pull & Bear were having a massive sale and my mum spotted these culottes for £3.99 down from £19.99! I was so excited when I saw the price because I have been looking for some culottes for ages and these fit me perfectly!! I'm so excited to wear these in the summer both here in Britain (if it's warm enough!) and also when I go on holiday!!

Hollister Lace Bardot Playsuit // £35
Hollister isn't a shop that I buy from often mainly because of how expensive it is, but I thought that whilst I was shopping I might as well just have a look. £35 later and I came out with this gorgeous lace playsuit that both me and my mum fell in love with. I'm defintley going to be wearing this on holiday and as it's a playsuit I don't have to worry about the wind (thank goodness!!)

Glamourous Floral Print Tie Back Top // 15.00
The final shop that I bought items from was Glamourous, I'd never heard of this shop before but I thought it looked super cute and my style from the outside. One of the items I bought from there was this gorgeous tie back top and I'm obsessed with how pretty this is!! (Unfortunately I couldn't get a good enough shot of the back but as soon as I do I'll share it with you guys straight away!) I'm obsessed with this top and I think it looks perfect with my black culottes. ( I also couldn't find the exact same pattern as my top but I have linked a very similar one for you!)

Glamourous Bardot Top // £18.00
So the final item of clothing for this haul is this gorgeous bardot top, as soon as I saw this I became obsessed with it and when I tried it on with the black culottes I loved it even more!! This top is actually really comfy and doesn't slip off or up my shoulders and for £18.00 you can't really go wrong! Again it looks super cute with my culottes and I can't wait to wear it in both summer here and on holiday!!

There you have it, my very first try-on clothing haul. Like I said at the beginning of this post I really enjoyed shooting this and I'll definitely be doing more in the future!! I've linked all the items that I could find for you guys unfortunately I couldn't find the culottes as they were a sale item and I also couldn't find the bardot top from Glamourous, but everything else is linked!

Time To Make Some Changes

I have an update type of post for you guys today as I recently read Ella's from lifeasellarose titled 'Just Me'. It was all about how she wants to change up her blog content and it really got me thinking. Ever since I started my blog back in 2015, I've always done beauty related posts. In all honesty beauty isn't my favourite thing to talk about, don't get me wrong I love writing beauty related posts but sometimes I'd much rather write something else.

Also one of the posts that I published this year on my blog has become an annoyance to me in a way that I can't sort it out. I'm not going to lie to you I rushed my Room Tour post because I was so excited to share it with you but I'm just really not happy with it. So with that said I have decided to delete the post and hopefully I'll have it back out again some time in the near future with better photos.

So I've decided that I'm going to change up my blog content and start producing posts that I personally prefer to write, there will defintley be lots of posts to do with interior and room décor because those are the subjects I love as well as fashion.

One change that you have may have already noticed is my new blog header, I've decided to remove 'beauty' from my tagline and instead add in interiors so new readers know what type of posts I produce.

Here's a few of the other things that I'm going to be changing up in regards to my blog and Instagram:
  • I've already done this but I recently revamped my insta with a new username (asprinkleofoliviaa) and changed up my feed to be more personal and blog related
  • Obviously the main part that I'm changing is my content, I want my blog to be something that I'm proud of and I'm very excited to share with you my revamped posts coming very soon
  • Eventually I will buy a layout specially made for my blog, but at the moment I'm happy with mine, I'm planning on doing the 'big blog makeover' during the Summer so look out for that!!

I hope you will all stick with me through this change and that you still all enjoy the posts that I write. Also I won't be getting rid of beauty completely in my blog there just won't be as many posts, and the posts that I do start to produce will be so much better and ones that I, myself will be proud of.

Top Five Under £5 Products

Makeup is one of my favourite things to buy, and over the course of the year that I have been buying it I've accumulated some favourite items. Today I thought I would share with you my top 5 products that are under £5, as sometimes we don't all have the money to go and splurge on some high-end makeup (as much as we'd like to!)

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent // £3.99
First up is a product that I talk about all the time on my blog and that is the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. I cannot even tell you how much I love this product, I'm on my 3rd pan and soon I'll be on my 4th which does kind of say something. This powder keeps my face matte for practically the whole day and it doesn't look cakey either, the powder itself also keeps my makeup in place for a super long time too so it's defitnley one of the best drugstore powders available.

MUA Pro-Base Eye Primer //  £2.50
Next up is another product that is featured quite a lot in my posts. This primer from MUA is amazing and for only £2.50, it's so worth the money. It makes my eyeshadows pop that little bit more when I apply them to my eyelids and it also keeps the product on my lids for a super long time, even if I accidently wipe my eyes!

Barry M Dazzle Dust in 105 // £4.59
A new product that I have recently picked up from the drugstore, is one of the Barry M Dazzle Dusts. I always see people raving about these so I thought I'd give one a go and I'm certainly not disappointed! The pigmentation of these shimmers are incredible and they look so pretty in the light. I picked up the shade 105 which is a gorgeous shimmery pink shade and it looks so nice in my crease with a pale shadow on my base.

Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner // £2.99
Another new product that I have picked up recently is the Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner. I have wanted to pick up a new eyeliner for a while as the only black one I have is the Soap & Glory Supercat and I must admit, it's quite hard to control. I always people saying how much easier eyeliners like this Collection one are, so I thought I'd give one a go and I'm so happy I did! Doing eyeliner with this product is so much easier and the control you have over where the brush goes is good to! If you're not so good at eyeliner, like me I would definitely recommend trying one like this as it makes it so much easier!

Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipstick in 07 // £2.30
Finally the last product for this post is the Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipstick in 07, I received this for Christmas and I'm obsessed with it! I've been on the look out for a nice berry lipstick that wouldn't wash me out as I have very pale skin and this one is perfect! The pigmentation is amazing and the actual shade itself is very true to the outside packaging but also isn't too in your face. The smell of this lipstick is so nice as well, and for £2.30 you can't really go wrong!

So those are my top 5 under £5 products, I hope you all enjoyed this post and if you're on mission to buy some new makeup that doesn't break the bank then defitnley check out these amazing brands!
