Summer Reading List 2017

I'm a huge book lover, I've loved reading since I could understand the words on a page. My mum always tells me that when I was little I would always read the magazines on the end of the aisles in supermarkets!! Because I've nearly finished school for the summer, I will have a lot more time to read. I'm also going on holiday at the end of August so I'll have plenty of time to read there!!

Recently I've picked up a few new books that I'm going to attempt to read this summer, and I thought it would be quite fun to share them with you as I have seen a lot of these blogposts floating around recently and their really good to read if you're looking for some new book recommendations!!

Girl Online Going Solo by Zoe Sugg
I picked up Girl Online Going Solo on it's release date last year but i just haven't had the chance to read it yet. I've read the other two books in the series and I honestly can't wait to delve into this! Without giving you too many spoilers (incase you haven't read the other two books) Penny is embarking on a new adventure in her life and trying very hard to get over her relationship with Noah. That's all I know of so far, but I'm honestly so excited to get reading!

Bridget Jones' Baby by Helen Fielding
Next up on my reading list for summer is Bridget Jnoes' Baby. I've already watched the movie so i know how the story plays out, but I'm intrigued to see whether the book is as good as the movie or vice versa. This is the first Bridget Jones book that i have read but I'm honestly so excited to read it as i love every single one of the films. The book focuses on Bridget who falls pregnant but doesn't know who the father is, it's either Mark Darcy (her one true love) or Jack. At the end of the book, we finally find out who is the father and without any spoilers, if you're a Bridget Jones fan I'm sure you'll be very happy with who the father is!

Geek Girl Head Over Heels by Holly Smale
i actually cant even tell you how long I've been waiting to read this book, I have read every single other Geek Girl novel and I'm actually quite sad that this is the second to last book. I'm not entirely sure on the goings on in this book, but i do know that it will focus on the main character Harriet and her life as a model. i would defintley recommend reading the Geek Girl series as it's super entertaining and you will be hooked from the first page!

Waiting For Callback by Perdita and Honor Cargill
Moving onto the next book on my list which is Waiting For Callback. This book is written by both Perdita and Honor Cargill, who are mother and daughter. I first saw this book advertised all over my Facebook feed and after I watched the trailer for the book, it really made me want to pick it up. Waiting For Callback is about a 15 year old girl named Elektra who gets signed to an acting agency. It's Elektra's dream to become an actress so being signed to this agency is a dream come true to her, unfortunately not everything goes to plan and she ends up losing her best friend, amongst other things!! I'm very excited to read this book as both the blurb and trailer make it sound amazing!!

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
The last book on my summer reading list, is one I'm sure you've all heard of. Everything, Everything is a book i have started reading but never got round to finishing, so I'm determined to do it this summer! The book focuses on the main character Maddie, who has an illness that means she's allergic to the outside world and has to stay in her house at all times. She meets Olly, the boy next door, and they both fall in love with each other. Unfortunatley this puts Maddie in grave danger and it becomes a matter of life or death.

So that's my summer reading list for 2017, I hope I gave you some inspiration if you're wanting a few new books to read this summer!

Mini LUSH Haul

I don't know about you, but LUSH is definitely one of my favourite shops. Even though I tend to spend more money in there around autumn and Christmas, I couldn't help popping in the other day and treating myself to a couple of new bits!

Disclaimer- My grandma kindly bought me these items and I'm super grateful, so please don't think I'm bragging.

Sex Bomb Bath Bomb // £3.75

First up is a new one for me and it's Sex Bomb. I've defintley heard a lot about this and it seems to be many peoples faves, so I thought I'd give it a try. The smell of this is absoutley amazing and it looks super cute too! The bath bomb includes jasmine, ylang ylang and clary sage, so I'm sure it's going to be super relaxing!

Intergalactic Bath Bomb // £4.25
Next up is Intergalactic, I received my first one of these last year for my birthday and I fell in love with it! Everything about it is amazing, the smell, the look and especially the colours it gives off in the bath! The scent of Intergalactic is very minty and I honestly can't wait to see the colours in the bath again!

Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment Bath Oil // £2.25
The last product I picked up is one I've been wanting to try for so long, and it's the Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment Bath Oil. This smells exactly like Snow Fairy which is probably my all time favourite LUSH scent! I'm not entirely sure how a bath oil works but I think you may rub it on your body when your in the bath or the shower! I'm defintley going to pick more of these up, as £2.25 is super cheap and it means I can smell like Snow Fairy all year round!

So that's my LUSH Haul I hope you all enjoyed and I'm pretty sure there will be more LUSH hauls in the future!

Nude Lips For All Budgets

Nude lips are defintley one of my favourites, I just love how versatile they are with any makeup look and there are so many amazing brands to choose from! Today I thought I'd help you out a lil' and show you three of my favourite nude lippies for different budgets, so there's something for everyone!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm // £6.00
NYX is defintley one of my favourite drugstore brands, as there are so many amazing products to choose from. The Soft Matte Lip Creams are defintley my fave lip product of theirs as they aren't drying at all on my lips. One of my favourite shades is Stockholm, which is a gorgeous nude with orangey undertones. This shade is perfect for all year round and is an absolute bargain for £6!

MAC Matte Lipstick in Kinda Sexy // £16.50
Upping the price a lil' bit is MAC's Matte Lipstick in Kinda Sexy. I honestly can't get over how gorgeous this shade is! It's a nude (obviously) but has a pinky orange undertone to it, which is gorgeous for the summer! I do prefer matte lips all year round, as I just find them easier to work with and your hair doesn't get stuck to your lips on windy days!

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk // £24.00
Finally the last nude lip I have to talk to you about is Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk. Honestly how gorgeous is this shade! What I love most about Pillow Talk is that layered with the matching lip liner, can be really nice for autumn and winter. But just the lipstick by itself can make a really nice nude for the summer, as it isn't too dark due to the pink undertones.

So those are my top three nude lips for all budgets, I hope this helped some of you and I may start making this into a little mini series too!

The Edit: Summer Beauty

I'm back today with another instalment of The Edit. Today I'm sharing with you all of the products that I'm using throughout the summer months. I'm going to apologise for the fact that I've mentioned these products a lot recently but I'm just so obsessed with them!

Benefit Dandelion //
First up is THE most gorgeous blush ever! Dandelion is such a pretty pink and perfect for the summer months, to give you a really nice natural flush. However, this blush is super pigmented so you defintley don't need a lot!

Benefit Hoola Bronzer //
Next up is another Benefit product, Hoola is quite possibly my favourite ever bronzer as it isn't too muddy or orange. It's such a nice bronzer for the summer as it gives you a really nice natural glow and gives you that 'bronzed' look that is so nice for the summer time!

NARS Highlight in Albatross //
Another face product that I'm 100% going to be using in the summer is the NARS Highlight in Albatross. I've used this so much recently as it's got such a pretty gold shade to it. It's a really nice highlight but it's also quite subtle at the same time, so you can go for a natural glow or build it up.

Ted Baker Eyeshadow Trio //
Moving onto eyeshadow, unfortunately this product is now unavailable as it was exclusive to last years Christmas set. Anyways, this trio is gorgeous as it has a beautiful rose gold shade. Even though this might look more like an autumnal palette it's still so pretty!!

MAC Lipstick in Lovelorn //
Finally the last product I'm going to be using in the summer is Lovelorn from MAC, how gorgeous is this shade though! It's the perfect shade for the summer and because it's a satin finish it's not drying and has a really nice sheen to it!

So those are all the products I'm going to be using in the summer time, of course there will be others but these are the main products that will always be in my makeup bag!

Room Tour 2017

Well... here it is, the post I've been waiting to write for months! Today is the day that I show you my room, and I honestly couldn't be more excited! Back in February of last year, I was lucky enough to get my room redone and I honestly love it so much!

I've always been into interiors and it's defintley something that I want to do more of on my blog. So without further ado, welcome to my room! Also quick side note, this post is extremely picture heavy so I apologise about that!

Wallpaper: Laura Ashely Pink Abbeville Wallpaper // £34.00
Bed: IKEA Hemnes Day Bed // £349
Desk: IKEA Micke // £60
Folding Chair: IKEA Terje // £11
Makeup Drawers: IKEA Alex 9 // £95
Bedside Table: IKEA Brimnes // £45
Chest of Drawers: IKEA Tyssedal // £145
Wardrobe: IKEA Brimnes// £140
Ladder Shelving: ( I couldn't find this on the website, so I'm unsure as to whether it's still sold)

For my room I've gone for a quite a 'girly' vibe, but I've matured it slightly by adding copper, rose gold and greenery. Let me just say that adding greenery to my room, was one of the best things I've ever done! It honestly adds so much more to my room and gives me a lil' bit of responsibility too!

If you'd like to know where any of the décor in my room is from, then please don't hesitate to leave me a comment and I'll be sure to reply! Anyways I hope you enjoyed taking a look into my room, I am honestly in love with it and it's my absolute favourite place to be!
