The Edit: Christmas Beauty

It's finally time for me to do this season's The Edit, I'm not going to lie, the Christmas Beauty post is the one I've been waiting to write since I started this series! Today I'm going to talk you through some of the beauty products that I'll be using throughout the best season of the year!

Benefit's Girl Meets Pearl // £25.50
First up is a product that I haven't really used, but I really should because it's absolutely gorgeous! This is the perfect highlight for the festive season as it's a super pretty pink shade. Girl Meets Pearl is a cream product, so looks so pretty on the cheeks and I'm just so excited to start wearing it!

NARS Albatross Highlight // £24.00
It's been a while since I've featured this absolutely gorgeous highlight from NARS, and yes it might seem weird that I have featured two highlights in this post, but I just couldn't help myself! Albatross is a powder highlight so looks really pretty in the inner corner of the eye or on the brow bone. I do occasionally apply it to my cheekbones, but that's mostly where Girl Meets Pearl goes!

Tanya Burr Eye Shimmer in Champagne Sparkle // (Unavailable)
Next up are eyeshadows / shimmers, the festive season is always the perfect time to bring out the glitter and sparkle. Champagne Sparkle is absolutely gorgeous and looks so pretty on the eyes, unfortunately this was part of the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Advent Calendar, so is no longer available.

Barry M Dazzle Dust in 44 // £4.59
If you've been reading my blog for a while, then you will know that I'm obsessed with the Barry M Dazzle Dust in 105. So I thought it only right to bring out this gorgeous shade now that the party season is here. This shade is the perfect gold and looks gorgeous on the inner eyes.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Matte Lip in Christmas Stocking // (Unavailable)
What would a post all about Christmas makeup be without including a red lip? The TB Cosmetics Matte Lip in Christmas Stocking is perfect for this time of the year. First of all it's the perfect christmassy red and secondly it lasts ALL DAY! Which is going to be perfect for Christmas day!

So that's this seasons Edit, I hope you've all enjoyed this series that I've started and I cant wait to carry it on throughout 2018. I also hope you've enjoyed this post!

Red Lip Faves

I don't know about you but when I think of Christmas, one of the first things that comes to mind for me are red lips. They always seem to be a popular lip choice around this time of the year. Today I thought that I would share with you my top 3 red lips for the upcoming season!

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Lipgloss in Berry Pavlova //
First up is Berry Pavlova from TB Cosmetics, I'm a huge lover of the brand so it was only right that I included this in this post. Unfortunately this product is now unavailable to buy as it was part of the 2016 Advent Calendar. Berry Pavlova is a super pretty red with berry undertones, both the formula and pigmentation are amazing and it lasts a pretty substantial amount of time on my lips!

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Matte Lip in Christmas Stocking //
Again another product from the 2016 Advent Calendar is the TB Cosmetics Matte Lip in Christmas Stocking. I can't even begin to tell you how gorgeous this shade is! The formula is also matte which makes it perfect for those windy days, as your hair wont get stuck to your lips! This is defintley one of my go to reds and it's such a shame that it isn't a part of the permanent collection!

*Seventeen Stay Pout Lipstick in Date Night // £4.99
Last but not least is Date Night from Seventeen, I was ever so kindly sent this by Seventeen and I must admit it's one of my faves at this time of the year! The pigmentation of this product is amazing, literally the lightest swatch goes a long way! It's also a super creamy formula and doesn't dry out my lips at all!

*all opinions stated are my own

A 70's Inspired Fashion Look

I don't know about you, but I think that the 70's had such good fashion! From the flared pants to the skirts and then the super cute sunglasses! Today I thought I would you share with you an outfit that I've put together and that I feel as though does give off a 70's vibe!

The first piece from this outfit is a simple plain white top from Zara. (£5.99) This is the perfect basic and is super comfy, plus it goes perfect with the outfit! Next up is the main focus of the outfit, these gorgeous black flared pants from Topshop (£20). I picked these up a while ago, so I'm not sure if they are still available but if they are, you should defintley get them! As for shoes, I wore these open toe heeled boots from Wallis (I got these for my birthday, so I'm not sure on the price) These go perfectly with the pants and for me, really give off that 70's vibe! As for a jacket, I went for my Topshop leather jacket (£60) I feel as though this goes perfectly with the outfit and brings in the whole Grease vibes! (And yes I know that Grease was set in the 50's, but hey why not mix and match with the eras!)  Finally, to accessorise I wore this thick black velvet choker from Primark (£1.50) , as I feel it finishes off the look perfectly!

Model Off Duty Vibes

Whenever I think of autumn, one of the first things that comes to my mind are jumpers! I don't know about you, but I literally count down the days until it's acceptable for me to wear oversized and comfy jumpers. Whilst I was in Primark last week, I spotted this absolutely gorgeous oatmeal oversized jumper with the most amazing sleeves! This jumper was only £13 and I'm so obsessed, so much so that I'm actually hoping they release it in different colours! This outfit also gives me major 'off duty model' vibes, which I love as it looks super casual but put together at the same time!

Primark Jumper -£13 (Couldn't find a link)
Primark Mom Jeans -£13 (Linked similar pair)
Next Belt -£12
Topshop Boots  -£75 (Similar pair)
Chloe Faye Bag  -(Fake)

Update // The Future of PrettilyPainted

It's time for another update post, usually when I write these it means that big changes are going to happen... As you know I haven't been posted on my blog for a couple of weeks, and that's simply because I've fallen out of love with blogging itself. I just feel like I'm producing content that I'm not happy with and I do struggle to come up with ideas for posts. Also, I feel as though I'm 'growing out' of the way my blog is. I have a pretty milestone birthday coming up next year, and I want my blog to reflect that. I was 13 when I first made PrettilyPainted, and recently I've been feeling as though I'm 'stuck' in the mindset of my 13 year old self and my blog just feels quite childish... So as you will see, in the near future, I will be giving my blog a makeover to make it more mature.

So now that the 'negative' part of this post is done, it's time for some positives! My biggest interest is fashion, I've loved it for years and it is something that I'm considering going into when I'm older. That's why I've decided to steer my blog towards fashion as it's something I'm hugely passionate about and I have a bunch of post ideas! Now I'm not saying my blog will just be fashion, I will still be doing beauty and interiors but fashion will be the main theme of my blog.

Thankyou for taking the time to read this post, I hope you all understand where I'm coming from and that you will enjoy the new content that I will be producing.

So those are just a few of my favourite things about Autumn, I just love the season and I could have defitnley carried on listing, but I'd have been sat here for a long time!

Top Five Autumn Lip Products

Lipstick becomes more of an essential for me during the autumn, because of all the gorgeous shades that come out. Today I thought I would talk you through my top five lippies for the season!

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 107 // £5.49
Starting off with a good old Rimmel 107, as cliché as it may be, this lipstick is one of my favourites during the season. The lipstick is a gorgeous wine red and has a matte finish which is my favourite during the autumn. As a plus, the lipstick also smells amazing, is super pigmented and lasts a super long time on the lips.

Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipstick in 07 Purple Power // £2.30
Next up is a lipstick that I've talked about quite a bit on my blog, and it's the Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipstick in Purple Power. I'm obsessed with this absolutely perfect berry shade, the pigmentation is amazing and the lipstick itself lasts a substantial amount of time on the lips! Plus this lipstick is under £3, which is an absolute bargain!

MAC Matte Lipstick in Velvet Teddy // £16.50
What would a post about autumn lips be without featuring Velvet Teddy! I'm obsessed with this lipstick all year round, but I especially love it during the autumn as it's the perfect autumnal nude! Once again this is a matte finish, as it's my favourite during the season!

NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Embellishment // £7.00
Moving on, the next lip product is one of the NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks. I'm in love with this collection from NYX, and one of my fave shades is Embellishment. It's a gorgeous nude with purple undertones, it's very pigmented and does last a long time on the lips!

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Bond Girl // £24.00
My final autumnal lip favourite is the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Bond Girl. This is defintley one of my absolute favourites as it has a matte finish but is still super creamy, meaning that it doesn't dry your lips out. The shade itself is a gorgeous berry red and is super pigmented. Also the lipstick smells really good, which is always a plus!

So those are my top five autumn lip products, I would recommend all these lippies for the season. I hope you enjoyed this post and have gained some inspo for some new autumnal lip products!

Everyday Autumn Makeup

It's that time of year again, when I start switching up my makeup routine to better suit the season. I've said this before, but Autumn is one of my favourite seasons and one of the reasons is because of the new beauty items and shades. I mean who can resist a berry lip? Today I thought I'd share with you, my updated everyday makeup routine for the Autumn!

Base
During the Autumn, I much prefer a matte finish to my makeup, so for primer I've started using Benefit's Porefessional. I can't rave about this product enough! It leaves my skin feeling super smooth after application, minimises my pores and keeps my makeup on for most of the day! For foundation and concealer, I obviously use my beloved MAC Studio Fix Foundation and the MAC Mineralize Concealer. I talk about these all the time so I won't ramble on! Again another product that always features in my makeup routine is the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. I won't ramble on about it but just so you know it's one of the best drugstore powders I've tried! Moving onto bronzer, this absolutely gorgeous Ted Baker Bronze and Blush duo is my go to! The bronzer shade itself is perfect for my complexion, and doesn't leave me looking like I've smeared mud all over my face! As for blush my go to in the Autumn, is the Sleek Rose Gold blush. For one it's the perfect drugstore dupe for Nars Orgasm, but it also has little gold flecks in that provide a gorgeous natural blush with a little highlight!

Eyes
Moving onto eyes, recently I've been using the Tanya Burr My Paradise Eye Palette, because it's simply amazing! My go to look is a brown lid with a gorgeous red in the crease. Not only does it scream Autumn, it also makes my blue eyes pop (which is always a bonus!) If you read this seasons The Edit, then you will know how eyeliner is my favourite in the Autumn. The Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner, is really good for people like me, who always make a mess with an eyeliner pen. The nib allows for perfect precision and makes the liner really easy to apply. I also forgot to add in mascara to this photo (silly me!) But my favourites this season are Benefit's Roller Lash and Rimmel Wake Me Up Mascara.

Lips
Finally for lips, I've recently been pairing MAC's Whirl Lip Liner with Velvet Teddy and it creates the most gorgeous dark nude! Also the liner keeps the lipstick on for much longer, and I can eat and drink without worrying about topping up the lipstick!

So that's my everyday Autumn makeup, I hope you all enjoyed this post and that you're also enjoying my autumnal content as I'm loving creating it for you!

Autumn Room Additions

Autumn is right around the corner, and I couldn't be happier, this weekend I decided to decorate my room for Autumn. (There may also be a few Halloween decorations in there, but hey don't judge me!) Most of my Autumnal room décor is from Country Baskets as their stuff is amazing quality and such a good price. Homebargains is also a really good place for Halloween décor too, and who can forget Homesense! They have amazing and unique autumnal and Halloween finds, so there's always something for everyone!

What's In My Bag // Autumn Edition

One thing that I always look forward to when the seasons change is swapping my bag around. (Does that me sound sad?) I just love getting a new bag that fits perfectly with the new season! Today I thought I would share with you what's in my bag for the autumn, I must admit it's pretty similar to my other What's In My Bags but there are a couple of new things in there! :)

Starting off with my bag, this is the Chloe Faye in Black (quick side note, this is a fake!) I've always loved this bag but the price tag is a little unrealistic for my age! This bag is the perfect size for me because it's big enough to fit in all my necessary items, but not big enough to also house the amount of junk I throw into my bag on a daily basis. (So it's a win win situation!)

Obviously my purse and phone are the two items that I have with me all the time. During the autumn, I like to add a hand cream into my bag because I find that my skin gets very dry in the colder months. Lip balm is another essential for me as my lips get very dry as well. The Smooch Operator from Soap & Glory is one of my faves! Finally I also keep the lip product I'm wearing that day in my bag, just in case I need to top it up throughout the day. The NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Exotic, is one of my favourite autumnal lip shades at the moment!

So that's everything that I keep in my bag, I hope you enjoyed having a lil' look into my bag and let us all just appreciate the beauty that is the Chloe Faye bag! :)

The Edit: Autumn Beauty

Even though September has really only just begun, I'm already in full autumn mode! Today I thought I would share with you some of the beauty products, that I'm going to be using a lot this autumn! Autumn is definitely one of my favourite times of the year for beauty because all the shades are gorgeous and who can't resist a berry lip?

Ted Baker Bronzer & Blush Duo //
Starting off with this absolutely gorgeous bronzer and blush duo, from Ted Baker. I'm obsessed with both the shades in this palette, but mostly the blush as it's the perfect autumnal pink that gives your cheeks a really pretty natural glow. Unfortunately this palette is now unavailable as it was part of a Christmas set.

Rimmel London Kate Moss Eyeshadow Crayon in Rose Gold // £4.49
What screams autumn more than a rose gold eyeshadow? This absolutely gorgeous eyeshadow crayon from Rimmel is perfect for the autumn. The formula is super creamy, which makes it really easy to blend and the pigmentation is amazing!

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette in My Paradise // £5.99
This is my first eyeshadow palette from Tanya Burr Cosmetics, and it defintley did not disappoint! The eyeshadows are a mixture of golds, reds and browns and the pigmentation is amazing! I've been using this palette a lot recently and I've figured out my autumn eye look and it looks super pretty!

Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner // £2.99
Next up is eyeliner, I only ever wear it during the autumn time as I think it looks really nice with an autumnal eye look. This one from Collection is amazing as it super easy to apply due to the applicator being the perfect size for my eyelid shape. I find with eyeliner pens that sometimes the nib is too big for my eyelids, and eyeliner ends up going everywhere! (Not a cute sight!)

Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipstick in Purple Power //  £2.30
The last product I want to talk about is the Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipstick in Purple Power. This lipstick is absolutely gorgeous and the perfect berry shade for the autumn time! The pigmentation is amazing and a little bit goes a long way. The actual lipstick itself smells super good too, which is always a positive!

So that's it for this post, I hope you enjoyed it and I would defintley recommend that you try out all of these products during the autumn time!

Travel Diary - Whitby

Since it's now summer, last week me and my family decided to head to Whitby for the day. Whilst I was there I ended up taking so many photos, so I thought that for todays post I would share them with you. If you ever get the chance, you should 100% head to Whitby as it's the most cutest and quaint village ever!
