January Favourites

Wow, I actually can't believe that January is practically over!! The first month of the year always seems to go so quick and it's quite scary!! Anyways, today I have a favourites post for you guys as I always love doing these style of posts at the end of each month, so I hope you enjoy!!

Zoella Foam Sweet Foam Cleansing Shower Gel //
My first favourite of the month is the Zoella Beauty Foam Sweet Foam Shower Gel. I received this for Christmas and I have been obsessed with it since! It smells so good and I'm so sad that the Tutti Fruity collection is being discontinued (hence the reason I couldn't find the price) I'll hopefully be able to save this until the Summer, as I think it's the perfect summer scent!!

Kylie Matte Lip Kit in Exposed // £17.00
Next up is another Christmas present that I received, and also something that I have featured on my blog so much this month!! It is of course my Kylie Lip Kit in Exposed (fyi, it isn't as orange as it appears in the pic!) This shade is so gorgeous and I have been obsessed with wearing it as it's the perfect nude and stays on my lips all day!!

LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub // £5.50
Considering I've been wearing my Kylie Lip Kit a lot and it's matte, I have been needing to scrub my lips a lot and the Bubblegum Lip Scrub from LUSH has been perfect!! This is my second tub of this scrub because I literally love it so much!! It smells and tastes amazing and it makes my lips feel super soft!!

Ted Baker Body Spray //
Another favourite of mine from this month is this Ted Baker Body Spray. I'm not sure on the price of this as it was a Christmas present and I'm not sure if they still do it, but I thought I would include it anyway. This spray smells amazing and I'm obsessed with it, also because it's a travel sized product it's so easy to keep in my bag!!

L'Occitane Hand Cream //
My final favourite of January was this hand cream from L'Occitane. My mum actually gave me this as she already had one and I have been loving to use it!! It smells amazing and keeps my hands super soft as I find that they dry out really easily during the winter.

So those were my January Favourites, I hope you all enjoyed this post and I would defitnley recommend all of these products!!

Room Decor Haul

I absolutely love everything to do with homeware, I literally spend all my money on it. Recently I have been buying quite a bit of home items for my room, so today I thought I'd show you the items I have recently bought. The theme of my room is pastel pink, white, rose gold and copper and I also wanted to add a bit of greenery to break up the colour palette a little bit. (P.S I have my room tour coming in a few weeks, so watch out for that!)

Primark
Recently Primark have really upped their home range and I'm obsessed with it, because you guessed it they have a few new rose gold and copper items that are so pretty!!

The first thing I bought was this really nice rose gold geometric candle holder, this was only £3 which I think is an absolute bargain! This sits nicely on top of my Alex 9 drawers and really adds something to my room! The next thing I bought was a rose gold geometric lightbulb, as soon as I saw this I knew I had to have it. This was only £5 which again is an absolute bargain, it looks so pretty lit up at night and I have this on my desk and it gives a really nice lighting but isn't too overpowering either!! The final item I picked up from Primark is this copper photo grid, I have been wanting something like this for awhile to store all of my postcards and polaroids on. This was only £6 which again is super cheap and I love this for keeping some of my favourite memories and items on!

HobbyCraft
A place that I never thought would have really nice homeware is HobbyCraft. For those of you that don't know HobbyCraft is an amazing craft store that has every single crafting item that you could ever want. I saw this super cute rose gold frame on their website and knew that I had to have it! There were a few different sized frames to pick from but I bought the A5 size which was £4. The frame also came with a super cute quote in which I love so I'm defitnley going to be keeping it in!!

Ikea
The final place I have bought some bits from is one of my favourite places, Ikea. The first thing I picked up is this green plant which was £3. Like I said at the beginning of this post I wanted to add in some greenery to my room and this plant looks perfect. I keep this in my Zoella Lifestyle plant pot and it looks so nice!! The final thing that I bought is something that I'm super excited about!! I've been wanting to get this ladder shelving for a while and I finally caved and bought them!! The shelving was £69 but it's so worth it as I now have more storage and I cant wait to share a post with you on how I'm going to decorate it!!

Charlotte Tilbury The Vintage Vamp Eyeshadow Quad Review

For Christmas I was lucky enough to receive one of the Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Quads in the shade The Vintage Vamp. I've always wanted to try one of the eyeshadow palettes because every time I swatch them I'm amazed at the pigmentation!! Today I thought I would share with you a review on the palette just in case you're interested in buying one but you'd like to see what their like first!!

So firstly I'm not going to lie to you, these palettes are pretty expensive, they retail at £38.00 each and can be found in places like Selfridges, John Lewis, Harvey Nichols and many more. There is quite a few palettes to choose from and each one is part of a makeup look, so when you look at the stands the palettes are on there is usually a lipstick, lip liner, blush and mascara that compliment it. This is so you can see what other products you could buy to create the perfect look with your palette.

Moving onto the eyeshadows themselves, they are super pigmented and really creamy which makes them super easy to blend, the shades don't actually come with names but on the back of the palette there is a grid that tells you which colour to use first (e.g. the first shade can be used to prime and the fourth shade can be used to make your eye look pop. The Vintage Vamp is a very pretty palette and there are two shimmers and two mattes. I love this palette because it's perfect to create a smoky eye with, I have also been wanting to try out a burgundy eyeshadow shade for a while now and this palette comes equipped with two which is perfect!!

Overall I would 100% recommend this palette, the eyeshadows are really creamy and pigmented and can be used to create a nice natural eyeshadow look but can also be used for a smoky eye perfect for parties. This palette is so worth the money the packaging is very strong which means it wont easily break and it's nice and compact so perfect to travel with!!

MAC Lipstick Collection 2017

It's been over a year now since I last did a MAC Lipstick Collection and even though I've only bought one more lipstick in this time I still wanted to do this post for you guys! I love MAC Lipsticks, I think their amazing quality and super pigmented and their also not drying on the lips and are super creamy!! If you have any questions about my collection, then please feel free to comment down below!

*Disclaimer- I'm not trying to brag about how many MAC Lipsticks I have, you may not think I have many compared to other people but my collection is the perfect size for me at the moment!!

Velvet Teddy
My first ever MAC lipstick was Velvet Teddy and still to this day it's still one of my favourite and most used lipstick, I even got my mum hooked on it!! Velvet Teddy is a matte finish and isn't drying at all and is super creamy on the lips. I would definitely recommend Velvet Teddy as a starter lipstick as it's the perfect nude!

Pink Plaid
The other matte finish lipstick that I own is Pink Plaid and it's defitnley one of my favourite pink lipsticks that I own. Pink Plaid is a pink (obviously) but has purple undertones to it which makes it a really nice shade. I prefer wearing this shade in the winter as it's defintley more of a cool shade because of the undertones.

Crème Cup
Next up is a cremesheen finish lipstick, I'm obsessed with this shade as it's perfect for the spring time. The cremesheen finish is one of my favourites as it's perfect for a natural lip look. If you're not a fan of sheer lipsticks I probably wouldn't recommend the cremesheen finish but otherwise their defintley one of my favourite finishes.

Angel
Now if you've seen swatches of both Crème Cup and Angel, you're probably wondering why I have both because their pretty similar shades, but truthfully on the lips these two shades are completely different!! Angel is defitnley darker and is perfect for the summer. The frost finish is another one of my favourites as it looks really nice on the lips. Angel is defitnley a perfect shade for those of you who like Crème Cup, but would prefer a darker shade!!

New York Apple
Moving onto a slightly different shade that's a little different to my usual, New York Apple is a gorgeous deep berry/red shade and it's perfect for the autumn/winter time. New York Apple is also a frost finish which makes it slightly easier to wear. I haven't really worn this much but I do want to start wearing it because on the lips it looks gorgeous!!

Lovelorn
So my final MAC lipstick and also my most recent MAC lipstick is Lovelorn. I had my eye on this shade for a really long time as I thought it looked really pretty and was the perfect pink for the summer. I took this on holiday with me and wore it so much!! Lovelorn is a lustre finish and I absolutely love it! The lustre finish looks really nice on the lips and you can really build up the colour as well, which I really like!

And that's my MAC lipstick collection! I hope you all enjoyed this post and I would 100% recommend every single lipstick in my collection!!

Updated Makeup Collection 2017

It's been quite a while now since I shared my last Makeup Collection on my blog (which you can read here) My collection has expanded quite a bit, because I'm quite literally obsessed with makeup! I've changed up my storage a little bit and also the top of my Alex 9 drawers have changed as well!!

So for the décor pieces and storage in and on my Alex 9, I thought id quickly tell you where the from!! Starting off with the top of my Alex 9, the acrylic storage is from Amazon that I received my birthday a couple of years ago.

The plant with the rose gold pot was from New Look and the rose gold fairy light jar was from Homebargains last year and I'm not sure where the lights are from as my mum gave them to me. And finally, the rose gold geometric candle holder is from Primark and I bought it at the end of last year so they may still stock it!!

For the actual storage in my drawers, I simply use plastic boxes which I got from Wilkos and Poundstretcher and they were super cheap! I really like how they look in my draw and eventually I will purchase some storage from Muji but for now these are absolutely fine!

I decided that for this post, just like my last one that I would just share the pictures with you and if you have any questions about my collection or any makeup products you see then feel free to comment down below.

*Disclaimer- I'm not trying to brag about my makeup collection, I have been collecting this for nearly 3 years now and I have bought quite a lot of it and also the makeup bits that have been kindly bought/gifted to me I'm super grateful for!

Staying Organised Throughout 2017 // Collab with Flxralkate

Now that we're officially in 2017, I thought it would be a good idea to share with you some tips on staying organised throughout the year. I love everything to do with organisation but sometimes I lack the motivation to organise anything (you know the struggle!) This post is also a collab with the lovely Kate, so make sure you check out her post and leave a nice comment!

Use a Planner
In literally every single one of my organisation posts I always mention the use of planners, there are so many different types of planners that you can use that it kind of makes it hard to pick one! You could either use a yearly planner, weekly planner or even use one on your phone. My planner helps me so much throughout school time and also helps me to keep on top of my blog. I actually use Microsoft Excel for planning my blogposts and keeping on top of it. (If you want I can share with you a post on how I organise my blogging schedule!)

Sticky Notes
Another major organisation tip that I use are sticking sticky notes all over my room, these are perfect if you have to take something to school the next day that you can't forget. I love using my Zoella Lifestyle Stationary Set for sticky notes as it includes a bunch of super cute ones. My favourite is defintley the list note as this is perfect for keeping track of my homework and jobs I need to do on a night after school or on the weekends. Sticky notes can also be used in your planner as well to make different things that you need to do, stand out!

Make Lists
So my final organisation tip is to make lists, again this ties in with the two points above but you could even dedicate a whole notebook to list making. A good thing about making lists is that you can make them as personal as you want, you could have a list of jobs you need to do or a list of things you need to do in a day to help you make the most of your day! I love list making as it can lift a huge weight off of your shoulders and can also keep you super organised!

And there are some of my organisation tips to help you stay organised throughout 2017! I hope you enjoyed this post and that it helped you with some ways that you can stay organised! Also don't forget to check out Kate's post, as I'm sure it's going to be amazing!

Youtube Made Me Buy It

I'm  probably a little bit late on the bandwagon with this post, but I love both reading and watching these types of posts/ videos so I thought it would be fun to do my own. You may have seen on YouTube quite a while ago that there was a type of 'tag' called "YouTube Made Me Buy It" which is where you talk through all the makeup products that you have bought because of youtubers or bloggers and say whether they are good and worth the money!!

I thought I would do this tag as well as there are defintley quite a few products that I have bought because of youtubers and bloggers and I'll also tell you my honest opinion about them as well!

MAC Lipsticks // £15.00
First up is no surprise and that is MAC lipsticks, quite a few years ago now MAC was an extremely popular brand for youtubers to buy from and I still remember the excitement I had the day I picked up my first ever MAC lipstick. The lipsticks themselves are really good quality and are super pigmented and not drying on the lips at all.

Even though they are pretty expensive for a lipstick they are totally worth it and I would defintley recommend them. In case you were wondering my favourite shades are: Velvet Teddy, Lovelorn, Crème Cup, Pink Plaid and Angel.

Overall I would defintley say that MAC lipsticks are defintley worth the hype!!

Next up is a palette that I'm obsessed with! I've had my Naked 2 palette for over two years now and it's still going strong!! Most of the shades included in the palette are right up my street and extremely wearable. The pigmentation is amazing and the shadows are super easy to blend. Even though this palette is a lot of money I would defintley recommend it, if you like warm neutral shades. There are so many different looks that you can create with this palette and the eyeshadows last a long time before they eventually hit pan!

Overall Naked 2 is so worth the hype!!

Moving onto a product that I'm not such a fan of, I bought this BB Cream quite a while ago now and if I'm being totally honest I wore it once. The first time I wore this BB Cream I was obsessed and I thought it looked really nice on my skin, but for some reason it started to go really orange on my skin and began to look cakey. I immediately stopped using this and i was so gutted because the amount of people that had raved about it was ridiculous but I guess it's not the right product for me! I really wouldn't recommend picking this up if you have pale skin like me as I used the lightest shade and it still looked orange!

I defintley don't recommend this product and it's not worth the hype at all!

Another product that I have a love-hate relationship with is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I bought this after so many youtubers raved about it, including Zoella and Floral Princess. Unlike the BB Cream I managed to use this for so long that it eventually started running out but my mum kept on telling me after quite a while of wearing it that it looked very yellow on my skin and because I used it under my eyes the yellow tone was very visible.

Other than the colour, I loved this concealer it didn't look cakey and highlighted my under eyes really well, it was just the colouring that let it down, even though I picked up the lightest shade.

I do think this concealer is sort of worth the hype, you just have to be careful with the shades

The final product that I'm going to talk about today is the very well-known Kylie Lip Kits. I was actually lucky enough to receive a Kylie Lip Kit for Christmas, but I still thought I'd include it in this post as even though I didn't buy it myself i still asked for it. Anyways if you haven't tried one of Kylie's lip products then I would 100% recommend them! The pigmentation of both the lip liner and the matte liquid lipstick is amazing and they both stay on my lips for a super long time even when I eat and drink!

This is probably the one product out of this whole post that I recommend over literally any other makeup item at the moment, they are so worth the hype!!

So those are some of the products that YouTube made me buy, I'll defitnley be doing a part two to this as I really enjoyed writing it and I hope you all enjoyed reading it!!
