May Favourites
How is it the end of May already? It's gone so fast, but on the plus side that means it's only 3 days till my birthday!! Anyways as per usual I'm back today to share with you my May Favourites and I've found some new things this month that I really love!!
Topshop Denim Skirt // £29.00
First up is a clothing item and it's this gorgeous denim skirt from Topshop, I actually received this for Christmas a couple of years ago and it's never fitted me properly until now. Plus since the weather this past week has been absolutely gorgeous I have found the perfect time to wear it! It's just so simple yet looks really put together and it's super comfy as well!!
Next up is an app, I'm pretty sure you have all heard of unless you've been living under a rock and that is Twitter. One of the things I've been pretty bad at with my blog is promotion, recently I've become obsessed with Twitter and I have loved interacting with other bloggers and sharing my posts. If you want to follow me over on Twitter, my username is @PrettyPaintBlog
And Other Stories Nail Polish in Liquid Sky // £5.00
Moving onto a couple of beauty faves, my first is this absolutely gorgeous nail polish from And Other Stories. It's a super pretty mix between a chrome and holographic nail colour, the shade itself is a mixture of blues and purples and they all come together beautifully without looking too much!!
Benefit High Brow Highlight // £18.50
My final favourite of the month is from Benefit and it's High Brow which is a super pretty highlight shade to help shape your brows, pretty self explanatory really! Anyways I've been loving to use this to help my eyebrow shape look more prominent and it's super creamy as well and it blends really nicely!!
So those are my May Favourites, I hope you all enjoyed this favourites post and I would defintley recommend all of these items!!

Study With Me: Biology
Due to me being in Year 10, I'm about to sit my mocks for the first time. Even though they don't really go towards anything other than what sets I'm in, I'm still taking them seriously because this time next year I'll be sitting my actual GCSE's. Today I thought I would do a Study With Me as I see these on Youtube all the time and they really motivate me to revise, so I thought I would give one a go!
So the first thing that I always do before I study is plan out what I need to do, I've been loving using my Ban.do planner for this as I can write everything down in one place. I typically write down any homework that needs completing and when and what I'm going to revise.
Next I'll go to writing up my notes and highlighting any important information (today I was doing biology). For me personally I highlight the topic in one colour e.g. Plant & Animal Cells and then any sub-topics in another, I just find that it makes it easier for me to see the topic and process it as it's all in different sections.
So that's my study routine for a school night, I typically revise for around 2- 2 and a half hours whilst still leaving time for homework. I hope that this motivated you in some way, and I really enjoyed doing it so defintley look out for more!!

I defintley enjoy doing diagrams to help me revise as I'm a visual learner, plus it's a good excuse to draw a cactus, right? I tend to draw something related to the topic or to break down big chunks of information so that when I'm in an exam i can simply remember the picture and the information surrounding it a lot easier!
Then after I've finished up writing my notes in a lot of detail, I also like to create mind maps to condense down the information, so that I can quickly look at it before the exam. Mind maps are also good to stick on the walls because all of the information is condensed down.
Finally the last thing that I do is go through and highlight any headings on my mind map, so it's easier to see where one topic starts and ends. My favourite highlighters are defintley the Stabilo Boss Pastel Highlighters as they're such pretty colours. So that's my study routine for a school night, I typically revise for around 2- 2 and a half hours whilst still leaving time for homework. I hope that this motivated you in some way, and I really enjoyed doing it so defintley look out for more!!

GRWM: My Birthday Meal
I'm so excited for this post as it's my first ever GRWM, I've always wanted to do one of these posts but I've never really got round to doing it. Tonight I'm actually going out for a meal with my friends to celebrate my upcoming birthday, so I thought that I would share with you my outfit, makeup and hair. I guess this isn't a proper GRWM but at least it's a start!
Makeup
For makeup I decided to go with quite a dramatic eye so I used my Charlotte Tilbury Quad in The Vintage Vamp. I used the two shades on the left and darkened my crease with the top burgundy shade. As for my base I just did my usual so I wont bore you by repeating it again. For lips I used the NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Embellishment, as it goes really nicely with the eyes and it lasts a really long time on my lips.
Hair
For my hair I just simply straightened it, because my hair is quite short there isn't really much I can do with it so straight is always my go to hairstyle!
Outfit
So for my outfit I decided to wear this gorgeous culotte style jumpsuit from Topshop, it's so pretty and has a halter neck which works really well with the outfit. As for shoes I'm wearing these peep toe sandals/ boots from Wallis, these were in the sale for only £30 which is an absolute bargain!
Jewellery
For jewellery I decided to go quite simple with these super pretty rose gold bow earrings from Beaverbrooks and my two rose gold Pandora rings.
So that's my GRWM, I had so much fun photographing and writing this post, so you can 100% look out for more. I hope you all enjoyed and I'll see you in my next post!!

Coffee Table Books
Coffee Table books have become very popular over the last few years, with bloggers and youtubers alike. I'm no exception to this trend as I have quite the collection myself! In case you're not familiar with what a 'coffee table' book is, it's basically a book for décor but that can also be read every now and again.
There are so many different coffee table books to choose from, so to make it easier for you all today I'm going to be sharing with you my top 3. I must say I haven't read any of these 3 entirely, but that's the beauty of a coffee table book you can just dip in and out of them as you please!
#GirlBoss by Sophia Amoruso
Where to start with this book? I'm pretty sure you've heard about this book at least once as it's quite popular in the blogging and YouTube community. #GirlBoss is a biography and also has a few business tips in and amongst. Sophia Amoruso is the founder of Nasty Gal and the book takes you through her life, from when she began as a shoplifter to founding and being the CEO of a multimillion dollar company.
I've found #GirlBoss to be really inspiring and it never gets boring as there's always a mixture of real talk and humour throughout the chapters. Also #GirlBoss has recently been released on Netflix and even though I haven't had the chance to watch it yet, I can't wait to see if it's as good the book!
The Luxe Life by Fleur De Force
Ok can we just talk about how gorgeous the cover and spine of this book is? The Luxe Life is described as the older sister to Fleur's first book The Glam Guide, which can I add is such a gorgeous book too! Anyways the illustrations in this book are gorgeous and there are so many chapters inside, my favourite being the one centred around the home as there are some super cool DIYS in there!!
Beauty by Lauren Conrad
My final favourite coffee table book is Beauty by Lauren Conrad. Similar to #GirlBoss this book starts off with a little biographical chapter on Lauren's life and how she got started with makeup and her different makeup phases. There's also lots of chapters filled with beauty tips and images to show you how it's done. I love this book and I'll definitely be picking up Style by Lauren Conrad as I've heard some pretty good things about it!!
So those are my top 3 coffee table books, I hope you all enjoyed this post and I've definitely got a list of some more books that I'd like to pick up in the future!

Oliver Bonas Haul
Oops I may have accidently had a lil' splurge in Oliver Bonas, I mean it's hard not to right? Oliver Bonas is a shop that I've only been in once or twice but it's literally my aesthetic! Everything's just so cute, marble and rose gold!
Disclaimer- I'm not trying to brag at all, I bought all of these items with my own money.
Rose Gold Alphabet Hook // £7.50
The first item that I bought, is this super cute rose gold C hook. Yep in case any of you didn't know my name begins with a C, I let you guess the rest! I've been wanting a new door hook for a while as one of mine is rose gold and the other silver (I've had it since I was little) So when I saw this one for only £7.50 it had to be mine!
Saskia The Cat Ring Holder // £8.50
Next up I bought the cutest little ring holder, I mean it's a cat for goodness sake! As soon as I saw this I fell in love, though I did have a hard time choosing it because there were some other super pretty ring holders/ plates. I've been needing somewhere to properly store my rings for a while now, even though I have numerous ring plates. I think this is super cute and I'm definitely going to pick up the Saskia Trinket Dish next time I'm in there!
Rose Gold Photo Holder // £5.00
Finally the last item I picked up is this super cute (apologies for the amount of times I've said cute in this post!) rose gold photo holder. I've seen these around in quite a few other shops, but when I saw that it was only £5 and it was copper I just had to have it! I'm not sure what picture I'm going to put in it yet, but you may be seeing it soon in a Room Tour??
So that's my haul from Oliver Bonas, it's defintley one of my favourite shops and I think the items are super reasonably priced and great quality!!

The Edit - Spring Beauty
I'm so excited for this post, as it's the start of a new series on my blog. I thought that for each season of the year I would do two posts called The Edit one focused on beauty and the other on fashion. For the fashion side I will be doing a lookbook and for the beauty side of the series I will be sharing with you my favourite products for the season.
Today I'm starting the series off with the beauty section, so without further ado I hope you enjoy!!
I Heart Makeup Blushing Hearts Blusher in Candy Queen Of Hearts // £4.99
First up is this absolutely gorgeous blush from I Heart Makeup, the shade Candy Queen Of Hearts is super pretty and perfect for the spring as it has a highlight in it that looks gorgeous on the cheeks. This blush gives such a nice subtle colour, but it's just enough that you can still see it on the cheeks.
Benefit Posie Tint Mini // £9.00
Next up is Posie Tint from Benefit, this is such a pretty shade and it's so versatile as it can be used on both the cheeks and lips. The shade is really pretty and it's something a little different rather than just a standard powder blush. What I will say though is that once you've applied this to your cheeks you need to blend it out quickly otherwise it will dry and you'll end up with a pink line down your cheek, which you defintley don't want!
Benefit High Beam Mini // £9.00
Keeping with the theme of Benefit, my next Spring makeup favourite is High Beam. Oh my goodness, I'm obsessed with this product the colour is a gorgeous champagne pink and looks so pretty on the cheekbones, also a little goes a long way with this highlight so even the tiniest little bit can look gorgeous on the cheekbones!
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul // £5.50
Moving onto a lip product, it's no secret that I like my pink shades throughout the Spring and one of my favourites is the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul, this shade is such a pretty mixture between a light pink and dark pink. Plus the product is matte meaning that it stays on my lips for a super long time, and it smells amazing too!!
Barry M Dazzle Dust in 105 Athena // £4.59
I feel like I'm talking about this product too much recently but I just love it so much! The pigmentation of this product is amazing and the shimmer looks so pretty when it hits the light. However, I'm not going to lie to you there is a little bit of fallout with this product but there isn't too much so I can live with it. This shade is really pretty for the spring and looks perfect in the inner corner.
MAC Eyeshadow in Expensive Pink // £13.50
Finally another product that I've featured multiple times on my blog recently is MAC's Expensive Pink. I love this shade as it's the perfect rose gold/ pink shade as it doesn't make you look like you have 'pink eye' (which is never a good look!) The pigmentation of this is amazing and the formula of the eyeshadow is perfect as it blends out super easily!
So those are my beauty picks for this season, I loved doing this post and I will 100% be doing one for each season. Make sure to check back soon for the fashion side of this post as it will be coming out very soon!!

Stationary Haul
It's no lie that I'm a lil' addicted to buying cute stationary, even if it is just for decorative purposes! Over the past couple of months I've been buying little bits here and there, so I thought that today I would share them with you!!
Disclaimer: I'm not trying to brag in anyway, my mum kindly bought me some of the items in the haul but others I bought with my own money.
Paperchase Rose Gold Stapler // £8.00
First up is something that I've had for quite a while but still majorly obsessed with! When I saw this on Paperchase's Instagram I knew I needed it and my mum kindly bought me this for getting good results in my Chemistry test, so I was super happy about it! It's a translucent stapler with little bits of rose gold every now and again and I think it looks so much nicer than it being completely rose gold, also it was only £8 so who can say no!!
Paperchase Rose Gold Pencil Sharpener // £1.50
Next up is something I bought last week and it's this super cute rose gold pencil sharpener, I'm fully obsessed! This was only £1.50 and when my brother showed it to me, I knew I had to have it. Plus I did actually need a new sharpener anyway so I will actually be using it!
Ban.do 2017 Planner // £7.99
Moving onto Tkmaxx, when I spotted this Ban.do planner on the shelf I literally screamed with excitement!! I've been wanting one of these planners for so long but their normally £20 so when I saw it I knew I had to have it! Even though were nearly halfway through 2017, I still got it as there is still quite a few months left of the year. (Side note these planners are now down to £4.99 if you want to go and pick one up!)
Rose Gold Notebook // £4.99
Next up I picked up this gorgeous rose gold notebook that I had had my eye on for quite a while. It's such a nice decorative piece and looks really pretty sat on the side. I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to use it for yet but I'm glad I purchased it! Plus the quote on the front 'Find the joy in the ordinary' is super cute!
Things To Do List Pad // £2.99
The final two items I picked up were these super cute list pads, because I obviously need two right?!, This one is pink and has leaf detailing on it which I think is really pretty! There are three different sections to this pad which are, Priorities, For Later and Notes. Overall I'm really happy with this and I'm hoping it will help to keep me organised!
Very Tall Notepad // £2.99
No I didn't make up the name for this product it actually is called a 'very tall notepad', so I guess it does live up to it's name!! This is actually what sparked my trip into Tkmaxx as I saw it on Anastasia's snapchat (Floral Princess) and thought it looked super cute. This one is more for decoration as I've been loving adding green into my room and if it can be multifunctional (List making and décor) I'm all for it!

My All Time Favourite Makeup Products
This post may seem a little weird to do straight after my April Favourites, but who can say no to a good old rambling post all about makeup products? Not me! Also I'd just like to add that this post is a collab with the lovely Fran from www.franalibi.blogspot.co.uk I absolutely love her blog and she also has a youtube channel which is just as amazing!! Make sure to check out her post after mine and leave her a nice comment!!
Anyways, without further ado I hope you all enjoy this good old rambly post and lets get started!!
Charlotte Tilbury The Vintage Vamp Eyeshadow Palette // £38
Oh my goodness, where to start with this palette. Well it's absolutely bloomin' amazing!! If you're looking for a high-end palette that's not to big or you're just venturing out into the world of high-end makeup, I would 100% recommend the Charlotte Tilbury quads! The quality of the eyeshadows are amazing, they're so creamy, pigmented and really easy to blend (basically everything you want in a palette). They also do quite a few different quads but what I love is that all the colours in the palette can be used together to create a look, which is perfect for when you're on the go!
Benefit Hoola Bronzer Mini // £9.00
My next favourite is another high-end product and it's the very well known Hoola bronzer. This is my first ever Hoola and I actually received this in a set for Christmas which I was extremely excited about. I love this bronzer so much that I actually haven't stopped using it since I got it, which is kind of a long time! I use Hoola for contouring as it's the perfect shade for me and doesn't make me look like I've wiped mud all down my face.
Benefit Roller Lash // £20.50
Keeping with the theme of Benefit, my next all time favourite beauty product is Roller Lash, I've used this mascara for going on two years and even though I've had a bit of a love/ hate relationship with it, I always come back to it and realise how amazing it is! This defintley makes my lashes more defined and gives the illusion that they are actually longer. So all in all it's a perfect mascara and has super cute packaging too!
Barry M Dazzle Dust in 105 Athena // £4.59
This next product is fairly new to my collection, I've only been using it for a few months but it's quickly become an everyday product for me! The pigmentation of this shadow is amazing and you can build it up to have a more prominent shimmer or just apply one 'layer' to have a nice subtle shimmer.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk // £5.00
Next up is another drugstore product and it's the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk. I'm obsessed with this product and I'm on my second tube of it (is that the right word?) I use this so much throughout the Spring / Summer but most recently I've been loving to use it as a primer for my eyeshadow. This may sound quite weird but it 100% works and because it has quite a tacky feel to it when it's on my lids the eyeshadows literally stick to it for the whole day!
MAC Velvet Teddy // £16.50
Finally to finish off with I have my all time favourite nude lipstick which is MAC's Velvet Teddy. I literally cannot fault this lipstick at all, it's matte but not drying on the lips which is always good! Plus it's an all year round lip colour in my opinion because it's not too dark so it can be worn in the spring and summer as well as autumn and winter!
So those were all my absolute favourite makeup items ever! I hope you enjoyed this post and make sure you check out Fran's because I'm sure it's amazing!!
